With just over 300 days to go until the start of the 2012 Olympics we are soon to launch the Manchester Ambassador Programme.
The Manchester Ambassador Programme is the joint volunteer programme for Manchester, Salford and Trafford communities to get involved in the London 2012 games preparations and games times activities in the 3 communities.
The project will take place at a number of venues across Manchester, Trafford and Salford beginning in November 2011 until September 2012. The main events consists of the Torch Relay as it passes through Manchester in June 2012, Olympic Training Camps to be held at Manchester Velodrome and Manchester Aquatics Centre in June 2012 and the Olympic Football Tournament at Old Trafford in July/August 2012.
Throughout the 2012 there will also be events held in the lead up to the Olympics, that may well be used as test events ready for July 2012.
More details will follow as we hope to launch in November 2011, so watch this space!!!
