All volunteers will need to be over 18 years old. Your responsibility will be to direct concert attendees to and from the venue. You will be provided with maps that show the routes back to city centre as well as the various transport links. These can be distributed within Piccadilly Station and within the green fence line of the Etihad Campus. Please do not distribute maps along the safe walking route as you will need a special licence to do so.

Volunteers will be provided with a pack lunch (feel free to bring snacks and a drink, although drinks will not be allowed inside the stadium). You will also receive a hi-viz vest to wear and access to the concert. If you need parking, please let us know and we will add your name to the gate list. You can access the car park via gate 2 on Alan Turing Way (no pass required so long as the name has been provided).

This year we will be conducting the first briefing at the City@home office (gate 11, Rowsley Street) at 3.45pm. You will then be posted out along the walking route to perform your duties. Those that will be posted in Piccadilly Station will be required to attend a further briefing at approximately 4.30pm.

At 10.00pm, you will be required to meet at reception of City@home for a further briefing focusing on egress. You will then be posted out at key strategic points to assist concert attendees in finding their way to the various transport links, city centre and car parks. You will then need to sign out from City@home reception at 12am and are then free to depart. This egress phase is the most critical so it is important that if you are volunteering you are available to do this stint and do not leave straight after the concert. Please plan how you intend to get home at this time. Car sharing is recommended.

Please ensure you bring photo ID (passport, driving licence) and see attached map to help you get around.
