Building upon the roaring success of the third Championships, Saturday 4th – Sunday 5th March 2017 will see University teams from across the nation compete for the title of University Champions, and for the very first time shall take place at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester!

With more students than ever before playing the sport, the 2017 University Championships shall take place over two days to meet the demand for the sport and is set to be bigger and better than ever before.

To support this event British Wheelchair Basketball is looking to recruit volunteers across a number of roles: – Court Manager
– Workforce Manager
– Event Runners
– Media Officers
– Team Liaisons

A new opportunity has been added to MCRVIP by National Squash Championships, starts 07 February 2017

The National Squash Championship returns to Manchester from 7-12 February 2017. With the country’s best squash players here to battle for the national titles it is guaranteed to be exciting championship.

The National Squash Centre will be hosting the championships for the 15th year. The event will feature a full masters championship with categories from Men’s & Women’s Over 35’s up to and including the Men’s Over 80’s which is set to make its debut. We require a team of volunteers to give the top level support required for this major event.

Uniform
The DRESS CODE IS IMPORTANT :
You will be required to wear black trousers/skirt, and black shoes/trainers. No jeans or tracksuit bottoms to be worn.
No caps to be worn or anything with visible logos.

Please note shifts maybe subject to change due to the nature of the qualifications/draw of the competition.

Note – A minimum of 3 shifts per volunteer is desirable.

There will be orientation sessions for all selected volunteers to be held at the National Squash Centre, Sportcity on Thursday 26th January at 1pm and 6pm. Attendance is required for selected volunteers at one of these sessions. Those selected will be notified before the 26th January.
