It’s set to be one of the biggest sporting parade’s Manchester has ever seen!

We are very proud to announce that Manchester aka ”Medals factory” has been chosen to stage the homecoming parade "fit for heroes" for Team GB’s triumphant Olympic and Paralympic stars on Monday, October 17.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to descend on the streets of the city centre to honour the record-breaking Team GB athletes, including gold medal winners Jason Kenny and Laura Trott, who trained at the city’s velodrome in east Manchester.

As part of this event we will require a number of volunteers to deliver a fabulous Manchester show. Volunteer roles include

.Athlete boarding point
.Volunteer Route Sector Managers
.Hotel Volunteer Managers
.Hotel Volunteers

The exact route and timing of the parade has not yet been revealed but we will ensure that all volunteers will be notified once it has been confirmed.

This is a great opportunity not to be missed and volunteer spaces are expected to fill up very quickly!

We are looking for 30 enthusiastic volunteers to support our CITC bucket collection on Saturday 15th October at the Man City vs Everton game.

All of the money raised from this collection will go towards supporting our local community. The bucket collection will be part of the days wider activities, which is the launch of CITC 30th Year Campaign.

We will be launching our brand new event calendar, and show casing a number of our projects highlighting the important work that our foundation funds.

A new opportunity has been added to MCRVIP by South Manchester Community Games, starts 24 September 2016

South MCR Community Sports and Activity Day, Saturday 24th September 2016. 1-4pm The day will involve taster sessions by local sports/community clubs. Allowing all age’s to come together, whether young or old, to take part in sport and physical activity. Some of the sports that will be available are Football, Basketball and Dodgeball. Not only will there be traditional sports on the day. There will also be Ultimate Frisbee, Disc-Golf and an inflateable Gladiator challenge. . Plus much more. Volunteers will be required to assist in the organisation of the day. There are a number of roles including helping to set up, assisting in coaching sessions, marshalling and supporting activities in and around the venue, such as meet and greet and generally helping and supporting the local residents that come along.
