You will be volunteering within a Primary School within your proximity on the Passport 2 Sport School Programme. The duties will include assisting the Sports Coach to run After School Sessions. This involves setting up equipment, assisting the coach within the session and putting away the equipment. We are looking for Volunteers who are committed and are willing to improve there skills and also improve the pupils enjoyment of the sessions. This could lead to further placements within Manchester Sport Development.

A new Sports Events opportunity has been added to Manchester VSB by Stroke Association , starts 01 December 2013

Stroke Association have been given the opportunity to hold a match day collection at the Etihad Stadium before the Manchester City vs. Swansea match on Sunday Dec 1st 2013. We are looking for volunteers to help us cover all entrances, and raise vital funds for the charity.
Volunteers will be required from 3pm to man the turnstiles and collect cash donations from football fans as they enter the stadium.

As you will have seen in the news, the recent devastation in the Philippines caused by Typhoon Haiyan has left a terrible mark on families and communities in the region, and the world has come together to provide the desperately needed aid.

Manchester City Football Club, would like to help and therefore City in the Community will be holding a ground collection before the Champions League game on Wednesday 27th November vs Viktoria Plzen.

To raise as much money as possible on the evening, we are looking for Volunteers to give up some of their time to help with this collection.

The Resolution Run returns to Heaton Park on Sunday 2nd March 2014. We’re inviting people to sign up and choose their distance of 5, 10 or 15k!
At this event we’re looking for volunteers who are willing to help us out with setting up the start/finish point, marshalling the route, helping with registering our participants and people who would like to help cheer our runners on whilst they undertake their challenge.
The Stroke Association believes in life after stroke. That’s why we campaign to improve stroke care and support people to make the best possible recovery, and why we fund research to develop new treatments and ways to prevent stroke.
