The responsibility of the coordinator will ensure all specified roles on the day are being carried out by volunteers, this while following a rota procedure to allow for breaks and role swaps should that be require. On Sunday, 19th June we have our IRONMAN UK race in Bolton and are currently on the lookout for volunteer groups who would be interested in helping out. This is a fantastic opportunity for people to see behind the scenes of a world class sports event and to gain invaluable experience to add to their CV, but additionally we can make a financial donation to any group who can contribute 10 volunteers or more.

We are looking for people between the 15th and the 20th of July (with race day being on the 19th) and have many positions available, including volunteering in registration, transition areas, feed stations and the finish line. All of the roles are available for groups and individuals, although some areas, such as feed station volunteers are more ideally suited to groups.

GB Taekwondo is hosting the third edition of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix in Manchester.
This years event returns to the "home" of GB Taekwondo – at the Regional Arena on the Etihad Campus.
This world class event will feature the best Olympic Taekwondo athletes in the World and will be a fantastic sporting showcase as athletes strive for qualification to Rio in 2016.

The competition itself is held over 3 days, between 16th – 18th October 2015.

There are many exciting volunteering opportunities available before, during and after this groundbreaking event.

Taekwondo experience is not necessary for any of the volunteer roles.

You will be made to feel very welcome by our event staff and will have the chance to see dynamic displays of Taekwondo from a number of past, current and future European, World & Olympic Champions.

An expenses fee of £5 per day, per person will be paid to each volunteer towards transport costs to and from home to the workplace. You will receive a meal voucher (in venue) or a payment, for each shift worked to cover a meal and refreshment. There will also be tea, coffee, and water available inside the venue. You will receive a free championship t-shirt to wear during the event. If you could also wear, either, plain black trousers or skirt and black shoe’s – it would be appreciated.

The Tour of Tameside is the Ultimate Running Challenge taking place across Tameside from 19th – 21st June 2015 and there are a number of volunteers opportunities to choose from.

We are looking for volunteers to be a part of this iconic race to carry out the following activity in Stalybridge, Padfield and Hyde. You can be involved for just one of the days or all 3 days:

Volunteer Activities:

Distributing goody bags on completion of each race.
Event set up.
Course marshals.
Man water stations along the course.
Assist with course registration.
Security of runners baggage.
Car Parking.

We are looking for a variety of volunteers that are able to communicate clearly with others, are sociable and able to work alone or as part of a team, be reliable and have fun by getting involved in your local community.
