The Resolution Run returns to Warrington on 5th October 2014. We’re asking people to sign up and choose their distance of 5, 10 or 15k!

At this event we’re looking for volunteers who are willing to help us out with setting up the start/finish point, marshalling the route, helping with registering our participants and people who would like to help cheer our runners on whilst they undertake this challenge.

The Stroke Association believes in life after stroke. That’s why we campaign to improve stroke care and support people to make the best possible recovery, and why we fund research to develop new treatments and ways to prevent stroke.

If you’re interested in volunteering at this event please sign up via the VSB.

IMPORTANT: You must attend an induction to take part in this opportunity. Inductions are setup as a separate opportunity on the event.

“Fever Pitch” needs you to get into the Samba mood, and help 3,500 spectators have a fantastic time as they arrive to watch world class football, both on the sand and beamed directly on to the big screen from Brazil.

We want lively, upbeat people with a passion for football and/or volunteering to help visitors have the most amazing experience – getting a slice of Brazil in the middle of Manchester.

At a practical level you will be asked to direct people to/from the Fan Park, help them to access their seats and all the facilities in-venue whilst generally supporting spectators to have a great time during their visit. A smiling face and an outgoing, friendly manner are absolute musts!

General Volunteers will be required to work from 14.00 to 19.30 as part of a team of 4-6 people and will be provided with a T-shirt and Cap, food, drink and appropriate breaks.

SPORTING EQUALS SPORT ZONE
Sporting Equals are a national organisation funded by Sport England that work to increase sport involvement and participation amongst BME communities. We are setting up a fully interactive Sport Zone in partnership with sport governing bodies at the Manchester Mela at Platt Fields park. We want to encourage people to try various sports..

Manchester Mega Mela is the largest celebration of South Asian Culture in the North of England. Music, dance, food and traditional arts and crafts bring the sights, sounds and spicy aromas of South Asia to Platt Fields Park. It takes place over two days in the summer with around 60,000 people attending over the weekend

We require passionate, enthusiastic SportZone Volunteers. This will involve setting up the activity area, helping to attract event visitors to the Sport Zone, offering advice and information, collecting details of participants and helping with packing up. This will be a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for sport or wants to try something new. It will also be a good chance to work with national governing bodies of sport such as The FA, LTA and England Boxing.
Volunteers don’t need any specific qualifications but a passion for sport will be great. It’s going to be a great day
