A new Badminton opportunity has been added to Manchester VSB by National Squash Championships, starts 10 February 2014

After the recent success of the AJ Bell World Squash Championship, the next major squash event comes to the National Squash Centre from 10th to 16th February 2014.

The National Squash Centre will be hosting the championships for the 12th year. With the country’s best squash players here to battle for the national titles, we require a team of volunteers to give the top level support required for this major event.

You will be required to wear black trousers/skirt, and black shoes/trainers. No jeans to be worn. No caps to be worn or anything with visible logos.
Volunteers will receive:
. Nationals Squash Championship t-shirt
. Free parking
. Access to lockers to store personal belongings

You will be provided with free tea/coffee/water and one meal voucher per shift.
Please note that shifts are only approx finishing times as games can either finish early or run late.

Note – A minimum of 3 shifts per volunteer is desirable.

There will be orientation sessions for all selected volunteers
to be held at the National Squash Centre, Sportcity on Tuesday 28 January at 2.30pm and 6.30pm. Attendance is required for selected volunteers at one of these sessions. Those selected will be notified asap before 28 Jan.

Expenses will be paid up to a maximum of £5 per day.

A new Other opportunity has been added to Manchester VSB by Manchester Roller Hockey Club, starts 11 January 2014

.To issue skating footwear to customers prior to a skating session and to take back footwear at the conclusion of each session.
.To ensure that all customers have a valid ticket, which is to be handed over prior to sessions starting. .To assist in the organisation and smooth running of the Roller Rink
.To ensure that the Roller Rink is prepared at all times for the customers, including setting up and dismantling equipment and cleaning facilities .To ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained at all times. .To maintain the agreed standards of safety and behaviour within the facility. .To provide day to day assistance to the public as required and where necessary
.Ensure all faults, damage, accidents, incidents and any other occurrences are dealt with immediately, recorded daily and reported to the Centre Manager if necessary.
.To undertake general duties such as cleaning and litter picking duties around the Rink
