A new Sports Events opportunity has been added to Manchester VSB by Marie Curie Cancer Care, starts 26 May 2013

We are looking for lively, energetic and vocal volunteers to help cheer on the Marie Curie Runners in the 2013 Great Manchester Run on Sunday May 26. Our runners are simply amazing and raise a lot of money for the charity to help fund Marie Curie Nurses in the local community. Our nurses provide care for terminally ill people, completely free, in the comfort of their own homes.

As a member of the Marie Curie Cheer Team you will be helping to decorate the cheer stations and will then be providing loud cheers and much needed encouragement to our runners to support them in their challenge.

Cheer stations will be at the start and the finish point but also in varying locations around the route. Further details on time to arrive, length of time at cheer station and location of cheer stations TBC nearer the time.

Volunteers can be of any age but under 18’s should be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers also need no previous experience, just lots of enthusiasm!

This is a great opportunity for team working, meeting new people, having fun and helping to support a national charity.

To get involved or for more information call the Events Team on 01254 855050 or email regionaleventsnorth@mariecurie.org.uk quoting MCCC Cheer2.
