National Cheerleading Championships 2012

Approximately 1000 spectators and 700 athletes are expected each day in what always promises to be a lively and vibrant event that showcases the best of the sport nationwide.

We require up to 15 volunteers each day to help make this happen and ideally, they should have some working knowledge of the venue in event mode, gained from either working or volunteering at other sport championships held in the indoor Regional Athletics Arena.

On each day we need:

– Two volunteer managers

– Two volunteer team leaders

– Eleven volunteers

Friday 23rd November – 4pm to 10pm

We need volunteers to help set up the venue. This work may involve some ”lifting and shifting” of equipment.

Saturday 24 November and Sunday 25 November – 7.30am to approximately 6pm

Res ponsibilities will include stewarding, guiding competitors around the venue, liaising with the event management team and competition officials, and helping to keep the busy schedule running to time.

On the Sunday evening (6pm to approximately 10pm) we also need assistance in disassembling the venue – again with the requirement for some lifting and carrying at this time.

All volunteers will be provided with a daily lunch allowance, a team t-shirt and the opportunity to run a national event for one of the UK”s loudest, most energetic and ”Fun filled” fastest growing sports!
